Graphic Designer

Description

The Saint Louis Zoo is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to join the Creative Services Department. This position reports to the Director of Creative Services and is responsible for design and layout for a variety of projects at the Zoo: video monitors, brochures, posters, flyers, invitations, signs and digital design.

Responsibilities include designing original content; working onsite within a team environment with other designers, copywriters and production artists; taking part in installation and production work; collaborating with a variety of Zoo departments to create professional design; maintaining the Zoo’s exceptional standards of excellence; and working within Zoo brand guidelines. Strong verbal communication skills required to respond to feedback and to collaborate with colleagues and outside vendors.

Undergraduate degree in Graphic Design or related experience required. All successful candidates for this position will be required to submit to a criminal background check and drug test.

Requirements

• Knowledge of current design trends
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite with concentration on After Affects, Premier, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Video, photography and web design skills are a plus
• Our organization has multiple St. Louis campuses and you may be required to work at each location at various times throughout the year
