Talent Acquisition Manager Position Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for overseeing the full-cycle recruiter activities and performance including the process of attracting, sourcing, recruiting, and hiring employees for the region to meet the organization’s staffing needs and achieve its business goals. The Talent Acquisition Manager will be required to supervise, train, and work in collaboration with the assigned recruiters in their region. This position requires superb communication, customer service, relationship-building, time-management, and problem-solving skills, along with the drive to deliver a best-in-class recruitment experience.

This remote position will serve our Northeast Region, presently to include Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington D.C.

What You Will Do:

  • Strategic workforce planning and leading full-cycle recruitment activities for assigned region.
  • Responsible for reporting and utilizing data for ensuring best practice, measuring success, and implementing process improvement as applicable.
  • Responsible for supervision, coaching, mentorship, onboarding, training/development, and performance evaluation of recruiters and TA team direct reports.
  • Responsible for understanding, interpreting, and complying with state and federal laws and MEI policy guidelines as they relate to recruitment, selection and employment practices.
  • Actively develops and manages candidate experiences by designing communication and interpersonal relations that are professional, positive, and create ease of connection.
  • Provides coordination and support as needed for company sponsored recruitment events.
  • Assists with employee relations at employee, supervisor, and management levels with an eye on retention.
  • Works in collaboration with hiring managers and MEI Executives on job requisitioning process to include assisting with job description and pay range reviews followed by identifying and implementing appropriate talent strategies as it relates to sourcing and recruitment.
  • Work in concert with the Director of Talent Acquisition to conduct/evaluate talent market research and use to recommend, develop, and implement best recruitment practices, including employer branding, while managing within department budget.
  • Serves as subject-matter expert in sourcing candidates including posting open positions and networking relationships.
  • Coordinates and establishes interviewing schedules with hiring managers as requested.
  • Supports and partners with other key HR staff to ensure a smooth New Hire Onboarding and experience.
  • Be the driving force behind best-in-class talent acquisition practices from application to new hire experience.
  • Perform regular and predictable work remotely during scheduled and/or agreed upon times with expectation to meet the operational hours of the assigned region.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field, HR or Recruitment Certifications (AIRS, PHR or SPHR) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience as full cycle recruiter with focus on employer branding, and sourcing active and passive candidate.
  • Must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of HR laws, policies, and practices. DOT regulation knowledge is a plus.
  • Preference given to recruitment experience within the construction, logistics or industrial services industries or related industry.
  • Works on problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Must demonstrate conduct that reflects MEI’s Mission and Values as well as appropriate levels of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written, verbal and presentation), facilitation, project management and integration skills.
  • Excellent candidate sourcing skills and establishing sourcing resources for passive and active career seekers.
  • Demonstrated abilities working as a remote professional, in a multi-site, multi-state organization.
  • Demonstrated abilities to comfortably and effectively support other areas of Human Resources as needed.
