Essential Job Functions
- Oversee the preparation and filing of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with SEC reporting requirements, including the preparation and assist with the filing of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K.
- Manage the preparation of quarterly earnings releases and related materials.
- Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
- Ensure the accurate and timely completion of month-end and year-end close processes.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and fixed assets.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address audit findings.
- Collaborate with the CFO and executive team to develop and implement financial strategies and plans.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, regulators, and other financial stakeholders.
- Communicate financial results, trends, and insights to the executive team, board of directors, and investors.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and efficiency.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in accounting and financial reporting.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA required, MBA preferred.
Skills And Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and SOX compliance.
- Proven experience in managing accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
