The Role

One of our clients is seeking a Loan Officer Assistant to join their team. The Loan Officer Assistant provides vital support to loan officers by managing administrative tasks, ensuring the accuracy of client information, and facilitating smooth loan application processes. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to enhance client satisfaction and streamline operations. Additionally, this position involves documenting new processes within the loan origination system (LOS), processing documents, and continuously learning to improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist loan officers in collecting and organizing necessary client documentation.
  • Communicate with clients to address inquiries, provide updates, and request additional information.
  • Review loan applications for accuracy and completeness before submission.
  • Schedule and manage appointments, meetings, and follow-ups for loan officers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of loan applications and client interactions in the system.
  • Coordinate with underwriters and other team members to ensure timely processing of loan applications.
  • Monitor loan timelines and deadlines, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Prepare and deliver reports on loan statuses and other operational metrics.
  • Document new processes and procedures as they are set up in the loan origination system (LOS).
  • Intake documents and update records to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Continuously learn and train on loan processes to develop a deep understanding of the role.
  • Support marketing efforts to generate new leads and referrals for loan officers.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks to assist with loan processes and enhance team efficiency.

Ideal Profile

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in administrative support or customer service roles, preferably in financial services.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in loan processing systems and standard office software.
  • Ability to document and implement new procedures effectively.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Amenable to work Monday to Friday between 8 AM to 5 PM Mountain Standard Time (MST)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in loan processing or financial services support roles.
  • Knowledge of lending regulations, loan products, and underwriting processes.
  • Certification in administrative or financial support functions.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
