The Role

Job Overview

The role of the Merchandising Coordinator is to ensure all Product Development decisions are funneled through appropriate database and organizational tools for other departments to utilize in their planning and workflows. This role also plays a critical role in making sure decisions are made by assigned owners to tasks in signing off on quarterly product decisions, taking into account the differences in Ridge product silhouettes, licensing and partnership timelines and production lead times. This role also oversees that weekly product reports are completed and distributed around the company for use by various people and departments. You will be responsible for overseeing timelines, coordinating tasks, and collecting vital data to support our merchandising strategies with the Director of Merchandising.

Key Responsibilities

Seasonal Line Plans:

  • Manage and update seasonal line plans, ensuring data accuracy and timely distribution across teams.
  • Coordinate with cross functional teams (Operations, Product and Wholesale) for alignment and execution.
  • Assist with launch calendar setup, updates and adjustments throughout the full life cycle

Product Stock & Pricing Management

  • Identify and manage overstock, creating plans to sell through excess inventory by deadlines.
  • Collaborate with inventory and operations teams to ensure timely global stock transfers and depletion of products going out of line (OOL).
  • Manage price changes from a promotional, markdown and full price MSRP perspective, ensuring clear communication of changes across channels

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare weekly sales performance reports, working with the Director of Merchandising, Inventory, and Data teams.
  • Use sales data to forecast performance and adjust inventory plans.
  • Generate reports for cross-departmental use and business reviews.

Meeting & Communication

  • Set agendas for the Merchandising x Inventory/Production meetings, ensuring organized cross-departmental communication.
  • Prepare key reports to facilitate discussions and decision-making.

Ideal Profile

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in project management and/or merchandising, preferably within the retail or fashion industry
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
  • In-depth knowledge of retail math and its utilization in order to make informed decisions, report out on business and determine risk, opportunities and wins.
  • Notion experience, a plus
  • Intermediate/Advanced Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage high sku counts across multiple markets
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Notion for project management, task organization, collaboration, and documentation.
  • Proficiency in Slack for effective communication, collaboration, and team coordination, including channel management, file sharing, and real-time messaging.
  • Proficiency in GSuite for productivity, document management, and collaboration, including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
  • Proficiency in Shopify for analyzing sales performance, creating ad hoc reporting and aiding in the weekly report out of business.
  • Familiarity with Loom for creating and sharing video content, including screen recordings, tutorials, and presentations, to enhance communication and training within teams.
