Location: Mumbai, India

The company is a design studio based in Mumbai that specializes in lighting design. The studio

focuses on creating fixtures and installations that interpret and enhance different environments lit by artificial light. With a diverse range of projects, the studio questions objects while considering their context and cultural associations.

Role Overview

As the Design Head, you will lead our design team to create innovative, creative, and commercially successful lighting solutions. This role requires a strong design vision, exceptional leadership, and the ability to execute complex projects on schedule. You will work closely with the Project Management Head to ensure each project meets client expectations, quality standards, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of designers, fostering a collaborative and

creative work environment.

• Performance Management: Set performance standards, provide constructive feedback,

and guide the team in achieving design goals.

• Execution Management: Oversee the execution of design concepts from inception

through completion, ensuring designs are feasible, innovative, and align with project timelines.

• Project Coordination: Collaborate with the Project Management Head to understand

project requirements, assigning designers based on expertise and workload for optimal efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: 5-7 years in design and execution within interiors, lighting, or architecture,

with a portfolio including at least six projects, two of which are over 4,000 sq. ft.

Leadership: Experience managing a design team of at least three people, with a track

record of successful team performance and project completion.

Proficiency in MS Excel for project tracking and basic data management.

Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with internal teams and clients.

A genuine passion for design and a commitment to pushing creative boundaries.
