  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, sales, or business building specifically in the connected hardware, or eyewear space.
  • Experience managing partnership engagements with risky partners, including structuring and negotiating the business, technology and legal issues.
  • Experience leading product partnerships with a set of cross-functional team members in a rapidly growing environment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience operating with flexibility in a fast-paced and collaborative environment with the ability to work effectively with all levels of management, both internally and externally.
  • Experience in the XR (VR/AR/MR) or eyewear space (e.g., Rx, Frames, DTC)
  • Experience in product, technical and business domains.
  • Ability to be resourceful, creative, detail-oriented and highly organized; grow in ambiguous, uncertain dynamics.
  • Ability to speak English and Italian, as most partners are Italian.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and presentation skills on technical, contractual and financial issues.

The Emerging Content and Extended Reality (ECXR) Partnerships team is seeking a talented, highly motivated and experienced individual to drive development and GTM of AI/AR glasses running Android-based software and hardware platforms with top eyewear companies.

In this role, you will partner closely with product, engineering, finance, and StratOps teams to drive product and business partnerships with AR Glasses device manufacturers. You will have domain knowledge of relationships with the eyewear industry. You will use your technical expertise in AR device technologies, and be agile and comfortable in a rapidly changing environment. You will have strong relationship skills to build connections, influence, and consensus with internal and external stakeholders.The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google’s partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Product team, lead the Android XR platform engagements with potential device partners.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with leading global partner executives to drive long-term platform/device roadmap intersections, and help them navigate the supply chain to bring Android XR devices to market
  • Be a thought leader on the Immersive ecosystem, strategic trends and engaged threats, and establish reputation as an expert who can provide guidance to Product, Engineering, and x-PA BD teams on prioritization and engagement strategies
  • Define, negotiate, and close product, technology, business, and Go-to-Market (GTM) agreements, including terms relating to the collaboration / licensing/and business generation of a reference platform and first-party apps/services for glasses experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, validate, and scale new business and business models (e.g., licensing) with eyewear partners.
