Job Description
- Operational Excellence: Lead the mechanical maintenance team to ensure optimal performance and reliability of all mechanical systems and equipment, contributing to the overall efficiency of the power station.
- Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: Develop and implement robust preventive and predictive maintenance programs that minimize downtime, extend equipment life, and reduce operational costs.
- Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough root cause analyses of mechanical failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence, enhancing the reliability of plant operations.
- Team Development: Mentor and train maintenance personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development to ensure a highly competent and motivated workforce.
- Safety and Compliance: Uphold the highest safety standards by ensuring all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and best practices, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.
- Collaboration with Engineering: Work closely with engineering and operations teams to identify and implement improvements in mechanical systems, driving innovation and efficiency in plant operations.
- Budget Management: Manage the mechanical maintenance budget effectively, optimizing resource allocation and ensuring cost-effective maintenance practices while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for mechanical maintenance activities, using data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
What you bring?
- Educational Background: A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, with relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) being a plus.
- Extensive Experience: A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance management within the power generation, oil and gas, or heavy industrial sectors, with specific experience in combined cycle power plants preferred.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and maintenance practices, including turbines, pumps, compressors, and heat exchangers, with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of maintenance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Proficient in conducting root cause analysis and implementing effective solutions to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
- Safety Focus: A strong commitment to safety and environmental standards, with experience in developing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures in a maintenance environment.
- Project Management Skills: Experience in managing maintenance projects, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting, with a track record of delivering results on time and within budget.
- Effective Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present technical information to diverse audiences.
