Our client are operating 2 fields, located Offshore East Mediterranean Sea, the operation of the fields is undertaken using a newly-build, spread-moored gas FPSO unit to process gas and associated liquids from subsea wells. Dry pipeline spec gas is produced and piped through a gas export line to an onshore facility in East Mediterranean while the recoverable liquids (light Oil and Condensate) is tandem offloaded into tankers from the FPSO.
Wood are providing the Core Operations, Maintenance and Marine Teams onboard the vessel
Due to working visa requirements and the operating standards in the region we have a strong preference for candidates with experience of working in the North Sea along with previous international offshore oil & gas experience.
Location: Eastern Mediterranean Sea.
Rotation / Work Pattern: 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off – 7-day week / 12 hour day
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities:
- Reporting to on shift Maintenance Team Lead
- Conducts and reviews the results of tests run in control room and ensure their reliability and accuracy
- Carry out isolations on electrical equipment for maintenance as an Electrical Isolation Authority
- Review/maintains accurate and current records
- Ensures the installation, calibration and testing of platform electrical systems is conducted in accordance with company requirements and any statutory guidelines
- Ensures the required supply of spare parts is available, prepares and requisitions items required
- On site assessment of the electrical systems to ensure operability will be acceptable with and deficiencies identified in a timely manner to enable resolution or mitigation
- Maintaining all electrical equipment and systems controlling and supporting the FPSO Process and Utility systems, Fire protection / extinguishing and appropriate electrical Emergency Shutdown systems in a safe and competent manner
- Carry out major services, overhauls and intrusive maintenance on platform equipment
- Carry out MV & LV switching and isolations
- Carry out fault finding and diagnostic checks on all platform equipment, ensuring any repairs are addressed promptly
- Review of the operational electrical manuals and procedures and ensure the onsite walk through and dry runs ensure that they are fit for purpose and accurate
- Be aware of physical condition of plant & equipment to ensure technical integrity is maintained; raise issues and concerns identified
- Ensure a safe and comprehensive handover is given at shift or crew change with all pertinent operational and maintenance information to relevant personnel
- Electrical equipment to be inspected on installation and equipment identified correctly
- Each location to have a detailed checklist of electrical equipment available and maintenance schedule in place
- Working within the statutory Health and Safety Procedures and the Permit-to-Work system
- Implementing planned and corrective maintenance on all Electrical / production equipment
- Knowledge of plant operation, maintenance and computerised maintenance systems
- Participate in PTW training for assurance that all personnel are competent with system requirements
Qualifications
Essential requirements for role:
- Recognised Apprenticeship or equivalent
- SVQ3 – Electrical Maintenance and Systems.
- Previous Offshore Experience
- BOSIET & MIST Training
- COMPEX Training
- Experience in topsides and marine electrical systems. Power Generation, Turbines, UPS Systems, HV/LV switchgear, networks and power management, Motors, Lighting and NAV Aids
- HV / MV / LV Switching and Protection systems
Desirable
- Demonstrable knowledge of Electrical & Control Systems
- Experience of working within the strict limitations of a Permit to Work system
- Demonstrable knowledge of Maintenance Process practices
- Able to read and work from engineering/vendor drawings
- Knowledge of hazardous area classification is required
