Varaha is a leading climate tech venture focused on nature-based solutions such as regenerative agriculture, ARR, and biochar projects that support smallholder land stewards at scale. In our second year of operation we are removing and avoiding more than 1 Million tons of CO2 and distributing the majority of the revenues to more than 100,000 smallholder land stewards in South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. Our in-house best in class MRV technology includes a bio-geo-chemical model for soil carbon, remote sensing and machine learning and uses soil samples for calibration. Responsibilities
Job Description
- Spearhead Varaha’s brand strategy and omni-channel messaging. Work closely with the founder to align all brand activities with business goals.
- Bring together and lead Design, Communication, visual comms as well as copyto create exceptional, high-quality collateral and campaigns. Lead our social media presence (LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook) and develop compelling, metric-driven campaigns for the same.
- Lead writing & thought leadership (e.g., blog posts, news articles, podcasts, etc.)
- Organize events to elevate Varaha’s market positioning (e.g., field visits, receptions, panel discussions, etc.)
- Identify the most relevant events & conferences, secure us prominent positions and speaking slots at them, and execute plans to maximize our impact & visibility at such forums
- Organize field visits
- Create slide decks and other collaterals that align with the company’s vision
- Keep the website updated
- Measure and analyse the impact of branding efforts, adjusting strategies to optimize engagement and loyalty.
- Be the trusted POC for all external parties in case of project outsourcing. While we don’t expect the Lead to create all the material, the Lead should identify, onboard and manage the relationship with external vendors as needed.
Qualifications
- At least 7 years of proven experience in brand management. Ideally you have experience working at an early-stage startup, particularly in agritech or climate tech.
- Knowledge and familiarity with different graphic design & video editing software (Adobe Suite, Figma, etc.). Experience working collaboratively with designers and developers.
- Strong PowerPoint skills
- Strong English writing and communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams. Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and create emotionally compelling content.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- High ownership, able to own relationships with external contractors
