Qualification: MBA in Supply Chain Management /Graduate/Postgraduate in Project Logistics or relevant field

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Commercial & Procurement to oversee the end-to-end procurement, logistics, and vendor management functions. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in managing procurement processes, developing vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-effective strategies while ensuring compliance with organizational policies. Candidates should have expertise in the procurement of hydraulic axles, strong negotiation skills, and deep market knowledge of vehicle and equipment suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement & Sourcing:
  • Manage purchase requests, negotiate with vendors, and finalize contracts ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Procure hydraulic axles and negotiate terms with suppliers for logistics operations.
  • Liaise with internal teams such as sales and bidding to provide competitive quotes and support the bidding process.
  • Vendor Management:
  • Develop a strong vendor network across regions and improve supplier performance through appraisals and prequalification programs.
  • Leverage market knowledge to identify and engage reliable suppliers for vehicles and equipment, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure competitive pricing by negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers.
  • Logistics & Supply Chain Management:
  • Oversee logistics operations, ensuring timely and cost-efficient transportation of goods.
  • Manage the lease and rental of warehouse equipment and trailers for logistics operations.
  • Ensure availability and procurement of vehicles and equipment required for project logistics, including hydraulic axles.
  • Finalize transportation contracts and negotiate terms with service providers.
  • Commercial & Contract Management:
  • Prepare and review commercial contracts related to procurement, logistics, and warehousing.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and company regulations, including ISO and other industry standards.
  • Work closely with finance teams to handle accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Business Development:
  • Identify opportunities to enhance business development through effective supply chain management.
  • Support the business with logistical planning, ensuring the availability and reliability of resources.
