Job Description
This is a remote position. The salary range is $70,000-$100,000 annually.
Job Responsibilities
- Integrate, define, and evaluate data sources across the organization.
- Map and categorize data against business elements and user needs.
- Develop data visualization and reporting methods such as graphs, dashboards, and reports.
- Build and maintain reports, models, and dashboards around key metrics to monitor and improve performance.
- Continuously monitor standardized metrics and provide timely and accurate insight on company performance and identified variances.
- Translate complex data questions into meaningful insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Produce and present results of analyses, highlighting strategic implications and recommendations for senior management.
- Effectively communicate methodologies and nuances of analyses and implications on key takeaways.
- Act as a reliable decision-making support resource for the organization, building custom queries to answer business questions.
- Collaborate as part of a cross-disciplinary team to supplement existing business intelligence functionality and create data visualizations that enhance executive insight on performance.
- Perform routine and ad hoc reporting and analyses.
- Identify solutions to ad hoc requests and problems.
- Maintain data integrity across multiple data sources/databases.
Requirements
Education, Training, and Experience
- 1+ year of professional experience with a focus on data and business analysis is required.
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in healthcare with a focus on data and business analysis is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Strong experience with and knowledge of relational databases (Any SQL required, MySQL preferred).
- Experience with building and maintaining data visualizations (Tableau preferred).
- Substantial experience with Microsoft Excel is required.
- Experience working with and analyzing healthcare data (e.g., eligibility, claims) is strongly preferred.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to use data to tell a story.
- Understanding of fundamental statistical concepts.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Able to work with minimal guidance, seeking guidance on only the most complex tasks.
