Job Description
Company – iwell – Your Partner for Sustainable Energy Solutions
Location – Utrecht, Netherlands
About Iwell
At iwell, we believe the energy transition must and can happen faster. As the market leader in the Netherlands, we set the tone with our intelligent battery systems and are expanding into other European countries. Our hardware and software solutions enable businesses to achieve their sustainability ambitions while preventing congestion on the electricity grid. The demand for smart batteries in Europe is growing rapidly, meaning we have the opportunity to make a significant impact together.
The Role
Do you have an affinity for the energy market and want to use your entrepreneurial skills to help build the sustainable European energy system of the future? Are you interested in technology, do you have an international mindset, and does the idea of conquering the European market excite you? This role might be perfect for you!
The Team
As International Business Development Manager, you will be part of the international Expansion Team. This team is responsible for further driving iwell’s international growth. Together with the Head of International Business Development and the Business Developer, you will play a key role in achieving our international ambitions. You will work closely with iwell’s leadership team, various experts at our headquarters in Utrecht, and teams in Germany, Belgium, and the United Kingdom.

Over the past year and a half, we have established iwell Germany and iwell Belgium, completed our first projects, built the teams, and are now ready to further scale them. Additionally iwell UK has just been opened and the first business deals have been signed there. Scaling the business in all of these countries just started and at the same time we are exploring which countries to expand into next.
It will be your responsibility to identify, analyse and initiate international growth opportunities. Beyond the market potential research, initial customer discussions, and preparation for product sales, each country has unique local regulatory requirements that affect our products from a hardware and software prospective.
