Job Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs Houston Healthcare System is seeking a full-time Staff Psychologist for the Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center in Houston, TX. The Psychologist will provide direct patient contact including, but not limited to: case management, psychological assessment and treatment planning, individual psychotherapy/assessment sessions, family/caregiver stress therapy sessions, and other evidenced based treatments for serious mental illness. The Psychologist will perform evaluations for patients with a variety of psychological disorders.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (*will consider non- citizen candidates*)
- Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
- Doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA)
- Completed a professional psychology internship training program that was accredited by APA or CPA
- Education or experience with providing care to individuals with Serious Mental Illness (Preferred)
- Must be highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to the care and good health of our veterans.
