Job Description

Description

Work hard, have fun and make history by joining Amazon’s Communications and Corporate Responsibility (CCR) technology team. We own product and technology efforts across the CCR org, ranging from helping quantify the impact of our comms global efforts, to building the company’s primary communications websites.

We are looking for a product manager who is equally comfortable working with technical and non-technical colleagues to influence product roadmaps and drive customer adoption for those products. The candidate should be comfortable working with stakeholders of various levels and functional backgrounds, and enjoy communicating both verbally and in writing. Success for this role is driving adoption and impact of the products our team creates. This is a newly established function in our team and is crucial to our current and future success.

You must love spending time with your customers. A successful candidate is an effective communicator, has demonstrated the ability to earn the confidence of stakeholders across a cross-functional team, is data-driven, has a strong eye for opportunities, and has experience managing complex business and technical problems. You are not afraid to get your hands dirty navigating requirements from different business teams, and then translating them into actionable customer stories for other product managers and engineers. You balance marketing, analytical thinking, and operations, along with an ability to work independently to deliver results in a highly visible role. You partner closely with our product team to create the best customer experience for product engagement and education.

You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. Maturity, high judgment, and ability to influence are essential to success in this role.

Key job responsibilities

  • Influence product roadmaps based on what customers need to unlock increased adoption and impact
  • Create and/or evolve already-existing engagement metrics to help better quantify our team’s work
  • Create and/or work on already-existing, scalable programs to drive customer adoption and impact
  • Embrace tactical opportunities to help customers unlock benefit from our products

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience managing technical products or online services
  • Experience in product, program, or project management in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services
  • 2+ years of product or program management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing operational processes and technologies
