Salary Range: $56,000 to $98,319 annually based on experience and degree
‘Iolani School has a first-grade teaching position opening in the Lower School for the 2025-2026 academic year.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate a passion for elementary education and the ability to inspire and support students in the development of their minds, bodies, and spirits. Candidates should have knowledge of positive classroom management strategies, social-emotional development of primary-aged children, and engaging instructional approaches. In addition to being active participants in our vibrant learning community, we seek educators committed to ongoing professional growth within their disciplines and teaching practice. The successful candidate is a dynamic and strong communicator (both written and oral), possesses a reflective, curious attitude, has a love for children and education, and is collaborative.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Education, Elementary Education, Curriculum and Teaching, or a related field in addition to a minimum of three years of full-time classroom teaching experience in the lower elementary grades. Specific knowledge of curriculum and instruction in elementary school math, social studies, and language arts is preferred. A master’s degree is also preferred. Please note this is a co-teaching position.
