We are looking for a critical thinker with excellent project management, analytical and communication skills to help scale our research platform to enhance the delivery of research results. In this role, you will have to become familiar with the underlying infrastructure (such as compute and storage architecture) and the software development and engineering that is required to enable fast researcher iteration to build and deploy quantitative trading models.

As a Research Business Associate, you will be the product manager for a number of research initiatives. You’ll partner closely with our Head of Research to help with the coordination of all research workflows interacting directly with various leads across the whole firm.

Technical Experience

  • Background in engineering, computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Organizational skills that can be applied to overseeing project from inception to completion
  • Ability to program in Python is a plus

Candidate Qualities

  • 2-5 years of experience ideally in a consulting firms partnering with R&D teams or a top-tier technology firm (or start-up) with a focus on data science or business operations
  • Rigorous analytical skills and experience with data analysis and/or software engineering tasks
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of organizing and delivering cross-functional projects with explicit timelines
  • Critical thinker with a strong bias for action
  • Driven by accountability, internal urgency and a drive towards tangible business results
  • Comfortable providing and receiving feedback in a collaborative team setting
  • Motivated by an ambitious environment and driven colleagues
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with a strong executive presence

The base salary for this role is anticipated to be between $150,000 and $300,000, which is based on information at the time of posting. This position may also be eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as a discretionary bonus, and benefits. Discretionary bonus can be a significant portion of total compensation. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their unique skills, qualifications and relevant experience.
