Responsibilities
The role involves providing comprehensive legal support across a range of areas, including commercial law, intellectual property, consumer protection, financial services, and other commercial matters. You will collaborate closely with the Legal Team to address various business needs and ensure effective guidance on legal issues.
A key aspect of the role includes reviewing, drafting, negotiating, advising on, and executing a wide array of commercial contracts, such as NDAs, statements of work, and other legal documents. The individual will also manage legal operations by establishing, evaluating, and improving processes while maintaining an organised approach to handling legal matters. Support will extend to aiding the Procurement Team with contract database management and ensuring accurate records.
The role occasionally involves collaborating with the Privacy and Compliance Team to address overlapping matters and ensure alignment between teams. The individual is expected to take a proactive approach to managing legal matters, fostering efficiency, and contributing to the seamless operation of the organisation’s legal and compliance frameworks.
Requirements
- Law degree or working towards a GDL or SQE or having passed the LPC or SQE and have work experience as a paralegal and/or wish to qualify as a solicitor
- Experienced within commercial/financial services is preferred
- Attention to detail, strong work ethic and able to work at a fast pace
