We are looking for a person who will be responsible for powertrain safety. This role involves applying and managing the SdF process to identify and control system risks. The candidate will ensure a high level of confidence in risk management during the development of software functions. Additionally, they will provide official safety opinions (Avis SdF) at project milestones, which must be integrated by Project Managers into their EQMs (Engagement Qualité Métier).
What You Will Do
- Develop and manage safety plans: Create and oversee the Safety Plan, Development Interface Agreement (DIA), and the Plan de Management de la Sureté de Fonctionnement.
- Identify and prioritize risks: Identify and prioritize Adverse Events for the Client (EIC) and define Reasonably Foreseeable Uses (URP).
- Define safety requirements: Establish safety functional requirements for supplier Request For Quotation and develop action plans to address EIC and URP.
- Validate degraded modes: Identify and validate degraded modes, and define safety tests to be included in the validation plan.
- Ensure safety compliance: Define the Safety Compliance matrix and prepare reports with operational safety synthesis analysis.
- Provide safety opinions: Deliver operational safety opinions at project milestones and compile the DDMRS (Dossier de Démonstration de la Maîtrise du Risque Sécuritaire), while capitalizing and benchmarking identified difficulties and risks during the project.
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering / Master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering (Mechanical, Electronics) or PhD in ICE / Hybrids. Preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related to the automotive sector.
- Minimum Experience: At least 5 years.
- Languages: Spanish and English mandatory, French highly appreciated.
- Technical skills include expertise in powertrains and embedded software. Soft skills required are client safety responsiveness and strong interpersonal abilities.
