Summary Of Position
The IT Security Analyst creates and evaluates various IT security related policies, participates in training development, internal audits, and monitors the various security alerts existing within the company. This position maintains awareness of current security trends as they are related to the software and hardware utilized by the company. The IT Security Analyst participates in all IT Security related endeavors, assuring a secure IT environment for YoungWilliams.
Essential Job Requirements
- Participates in internal audits by utilizing available scanning and evaluation tools
- Creates and tracks issue remediation
- Assists in development of incident response for security related issues
- Maintains knowledge and awareness of current security trends
- Monitors alerts for security threats generated by our monitoring tools
- Assists in creating content for corporation security training
- Participates in disaster recovery planning and documentation
- Acts as a resource for security related changes to Windows group policy and Firewall rules
- Regular and timely attendance
- Other duties as assigned
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related work experience
Required Experience
- At least 6 months of related experience required. 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of security measures and controls
- Experience with Tenable Vulnerability Management, Nessus, or comparable tools
- Demonstrated knowledge of risk assessment and Pen Testing methodologies
- Demonstrated knowledge of security standards such as NIST 800-53 and IRS Publication 1075
- Broad knowledge of networking and protocols
- Broad knowledge of Windows Server and desktop operating systems
- Experience with Packet Captures and Evaluation
- Knowledge of the SOC2 process preferred
- Security Industry certification or current pursuit preferred
