As a DOT Specialist, you will be responsible for gathering professional information from individuals and employers, as provided by the candidate. This includes verifying employment history, reviewing driving records, and collecting details related to accidents and drug/alcohol history.   • Manage inbound and outbound calls – Handle a high volume of incoming and outgoing calls efficiently, providing prompt and accurate responses to inquiries. Assist customers, clients, or internal teams with requests while ensuring a positive and professional experience.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations for driving history acquisition – Adhere to all federal, state, and company policies related to obtaining driving records. Verify proper authorization, follow data privacy guidelines, and ensure all procedures align with legal requirements.
  • Uphold professionalism in all communications – Maintain a courteous and professional tone in all phone, email, and written communications with customers, vendors, and colleagues. Effectively resolve concerns while demonstrating patience, active listening, and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain and enhance quality standards – Consistently meet performance expectations by following established processes, accuracy guidelines, and best practices. Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to refining workflows to enhance efficiency and service quality.

Qualifications

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills

Working Conditions

  • This position requires the incumbent to work indoors at a desk for extended periods of time and use of work station.
  • The person must be able to comprehend and follow work instructions in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • This position requires the ability to interact with all levels within the organization and requires the ability to respond professionally to all individuals and work well as a team player.
  • This position may be requested to work overtime on occasion to meet company objectives.
