Position Summary

The Senior Director of People Operations will be a key leader at Checkers & Rally’s, overseeing the implementation of HR systems. Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, this role encompasses core functions such as Talent Acquisition, Employee

Relations, DEI, Training and Development, and more. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, able to maintain a positive outlook in challenging situations, and adapt to a fast-moving, entrepeneurial environment. They should have experience in developing and rolling out HR policies and creating flexible systems within a multi-entity organization.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Oversee the recruitment process, including sourcing candidates, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment that attracts, retains, and motivates top talent.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Champion DEI initiatives within the organization, promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Facilitate organizational change management initiatives, including restructuring, culture transformation, and leadership development programs.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable employment laws and regulations, including federal, state, and local employment laws, and maintain compliance with HR policies and procedures.

Experience And Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least five years of human resource management experience required.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.

Essential Physical Requirements

  • Individual must live in the Tampa area and is required to be in the Restaurant Support Center 3 days per week, at a minimum.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret written information such as procedure manuals, Company communications or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to Travel may be required to attend off-site training, meetings and seminars.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods in one location which may be restricted to the employee’s workstation.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
