Overview.

The Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) area is a key player within the BBVA Mexico´s Group, where we participate as a single team, together with the other General Managements, providing value by serving the segment of the largest companies in Mexico. Our main responsibility lies in developing the bank’s relationship with our clients, advising them on their financial risk needs, funding and growth strategies.

BBVA’s Investment Banking and Finance (IB&F), Advisory (M&A/ECM) team brings together knowledge and experience in a wide range of sectors and financial advisory services to help our clients achieve their goals, from the strategic alternatives to their execution and implementation, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings and capital structure optimization.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate recommendations for clients on strategic alternatives including equity and debt transactions.Build detailed and flexible financial models, including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, taxes, and sensitivities.
  • Perform valuations of companies or assets considering intrinsic valuation methods (DCF, DDM, LBO, etc.) as well as comparable multiples.
  • Prepare marketing materials for our clients including confidential information memorandums (CIM), management presentations, teasers, roadshow presentations, pitchbooks, and any other required.
  • Conduct analysis of historical financial information of companies, industry, market, and economic data to develop actionable reports including valuable insights.
  • Perform due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation of live transactions.Populate and organize virtual data rooms, and coordinate external advisor relationships (commercial, technical, legal, tax, accounting, and other firms).Develop relationships with new and existing clients to strengthen our market position and expand the business.

Qualifications & Education requirements

  • 1-4 years of experience, preferably in investment banking, private equity, equity research, or any other similar financial areas.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred.
  • Any level of CFA is a plus.Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel andPowerPoint.Impeccable research, quantitative and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and networking skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment with minimal supervision.
