Claims Handler

As a Claims Handler, based in our Lisbon office, you will form part of a dynamic team of professionals that focus on developing our regional portfolios. You will directly report to the Claims Manager and support the team in managing every step of the claims process, providing an efficient, high-quality service to the team and to worldwide brokers, insurers, and regional law firms. Your role will fully support and comply with the company’s objectives and standards. The Claims Handler must be able to travel occasionally.

Your Profile

GraduateFluent in English and SpanishExperience with claims handling in the insurance industry is a plusMinimum 3 years’ experienceOrganizational skills to enable you to keep track of priorities and a get-it-done attitudeProblem-solving skillsWhat we expect from you – your tasks:

Advice and management of the entire claims process, including the compilation of the information and documentation necessary to manage the claim.Review of the insured’s policy and assessment of whether the claim complies with the policy conditions.Identify reasons why the insured may not receive full indemnity.Explain to the insured why his policy does not cover the claim.Supervise the progress of the claim and ensure that it is dealt with efficiently.Ensure payment of all valid claims.Manage all administrative aspects of the claims handling process.Comply with legal requirements, industry regulations and quality standards set by the company.You’ll be offered a competitive salary, depending on experience, plus a benefits package.
