Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Manager to join our team. The Facilities Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our facilities while ensuring that everything runs smoothly. They will be responsible for managing maintenance, security, and reception, and will serve as the go-to person for all facilities-related inquiries. Their primary goal will be to provide a comfortable and functional workspace for our employees, which in turn supports our mission and enhances productivity. They will also have the opportunity to collaborate with various departments, implement cost-effective solutions, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

The Representative Church Body isthe Church of Ireland’s trustee body, responsiblefor its finance, property, investments, and other central administrative functions based in Church House Dublin, the RCB Library and RCB Belfast office.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Property and Trusts, the Facilities Manager will:

  • Oversee daily operations and maintenance of Church House and other RCB Properties
  • Manage and supervise maintenance and janitorial service providers
  • Develop and implement facility management policies and procedures
  • Inspect and ensure the quality of facility services
  • Coordinate repairs, renovations, and improvements
  • Monitor facility budgets and expenditures
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Facilitate remote meetings

Candidate Profile

Education and Training

Essential

  • Qualification in a Facilities Management or related discipline.

Desirable

  • Training in Health, Safety and Environmental Regulations.

Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience in facilities management or a related field.

Desirable

  • Experience of engaging and managing external service providers.

Terms And Conditions Of Appointment:

Appointment: This is a permanent position.

Hours of work: Full time (core 35 hours per week).

Location: Based in Church of Ireland House, Church Avenue, Rathmines, Dublin 6.

Remuneration: Dependent onexperience/qualifications.
