Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by

an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education

Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of

Education (USDE). Major course work in Business Administration,

Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Statistical Analysis,

Research, or a related field preferred. Each year of experience

as described below in excess of the required three years may be

substituted for thirty semester hours from an accredited college

or university on a year-for-year basis.

  • Three years full-time, wage-earning criminal justice administration,

data analysis, or research experience. Fifteen semester hours of

graduate course work from a college or university accredited by the

CHEA or by the USDE in an above related field may be substituted for

each year of experience on a year-for-year basis for a maximum substitution

of two years.

  • SPSS or Stata Statistical Software experience preferred.
  • Statistical analysis experience preferred.
  • Database Management experience preferred.
  • Criminal justice experience preferred.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent

to include word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation

software programs preferred.

  • The salary for an ERS Retiree (or non-contributing member) will

be $4,801.16.**
