Overview
Overseeing the development and management of gaming products from conception to launch and beyond. This role requires a deep understanding of gaming trends, player preferences, and technical expertise to drive product strategy and deliver outstanding gaming experiences.
To be successful in this role, you should be able to identify user needs and work with cross-functional teams to manage product releases. Ultimately, the Product Manager will help us roll-out products that deliver our department’s vision.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle management from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery and successful execution.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify player needs, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform product strategy and roadmap.
- Define product requirements, features, and functionalities based on market insights, player feedback, and business goals.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including game developers, designers, marketers, and executives to align on product vision, roadmap, and priorities.
- Drive product development through agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management.
- Champion the product internally and externally, communicating its value proposition, features, and benefits to stakeholders, partners, and the gaming community.
- Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, user feedback, and KPIs to iterate on features, optimize user experience, and drive continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and gaming innovations to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors, licensors, and partners to integrate technologies and content that enhance product offerings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Digital Technologies, or other related fields. MBA is a Plus.
- At least 8-year work experience as a Product Manager or similar role in product management within the gaming or media industry, with a successful track record of launching and managing gaming products.
- Deep understanding of gaming platforms, technologies, and player behavior with a passion for gaming and staying current with industry trends.
- In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities, with proficiency in using analytics tools and metrics to drive product decisions.
- Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle.
- Technical background with knowledge of software development and web technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Excellent knowledge of user-centered design principles and design quality standards.
- Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
- Ability to stick to timelines and measure progress during development.
