Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to users of the virtualization infrastructure, including host virtualization, connectivity, performance, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage and maintain virtualization infrastructure systems, ensuring stability and efficiency.
  • Perform installations and maintenance of VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hypervisor, and OVM/OLVM.
  • Monitor daily operations, generate reports, respond to alerts, and troubleshoot issues in complex virtualization environments.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical and graphical documentation as needed.
  • Develop and update tools and scripts using PowerShell, Perl, Bash, Python, and Ansible to automate virtualization operations.
  • Provide on-call support outside business hours on a rotational basis.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Over 5 years of proven experience with market-leading virtualization solutions (VMware, Hyper-V, and OVM/KVM).
  • Verified experience managing and troubleshooting VMware 6.x/7 infrastructure, including ESXi, vCenter, Horizon View, VSAN, and related technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Hyper-V, SCVMM, and OracleVM/OLVM (KVM).
  • Strong knowledge of networking technologies, including Ethernet, TCP/IP, Routing, LACP, etc.
  • Proficiency with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Perl, Bash, Python, and Ansible.
  • Familiarity with storage best practices and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to create technical documentation in English (B2 level or higher).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware VCP, Microsoft Hyper-V, or KVM-related certifications).
  • Experience working in enterprise-level IT environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues efficiently.
