About Role:

We have an exciting role of Medical Editor -Sr Analyst to drive and translate creative and contemporary ideas to solid design and impact. You will have a key role in design and deployment of creative campaigns with our global clients, including many Fortune 50 companies.

Location- Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Coimbatore & Hyderabad

Responsibilities

Required Skills

  • Lead copy editor on at least one brand, and backup on other brands
  • Be a brand guardian – championing style, grammar and sense across multiple brands, follow established procedures/guidelines to ensure consistent work quality
  • Work closely with Account Services, Copywriters, Art Directors, and other team members to ensure that print and digital materials are of the highest quality in terms of accuracy, utility, clarity, readability, and appeal
  • Take a proactive approach and able to suggest new initiatives to improve the way we work
  • Assist managing workflow and can evaluate work and give constructive criticism, while proactively managing workload, and escalate concerns relating to quality and timing as needed
  • Manage and develop more junior editors, while carrying out editorial orientation for new hires (within editorial or other departments)
  • Work independently and remotely, joining meetings and collaborating across Teams as needed

Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of experience in copyediting in a pharmaceutical advertising agency, in-house agency, or medical publishing company preferred. Will consider candidates with copyediting experience in other fields
  • Bachelor of Science degree
  • Knowledge of AMA Manual of Style, to provide impeccable editing and proofreading, taking ownership of clarity, accuracy and brevity
  • Excellent written English (vocabulary and grammar) and attention to detail, able to edit and proofread across a broad variety of materials and formats including detail aids (printed and digital), leave pieces, mailers, websites, training materials, PDFs, Word and PowerPoint documents etc. for HCPs and patients – providing clear, concise direction/marks ups at internal sign-off
  • Comfortable understanding core claims and references and able to perform fact checks or create reference packs
  • Able to perform with autonomy and challenge where necessary to ensure agency quality control is maintained
