As an Economic Development Officer, you can contribute to the State Development team by supporting responsible economic development and building liveable communities. You will assist to connect industry, businesses, community, and government at all levels to create place-based solutions that leverage regional strengths and unlock sustainable growth. Your responsibilities
- Prepare summaries of trends, funding streams, and region-specific opportunities and impediments for internal and external stakeholders, with guidance from the team.
- Work collaboratively on the planning and execution of team and industry events
- Assist the team with client engagement activities, including pre-meeting research.
- Promote industry development opportunities and initiatives to foster economic growth.
- Coordinate and provide support for working groups and interagency meetings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and government agencies.
- Conduct research to inform the drafting of briefings, submissions, reports, and correspondence for review and approval.
