The Role You’ll Contribute

The primary function of the Imaging Assistant is to transport patients to and from Imaging Services Modalities. The Imaging Assistant will also maintain the cleanliness, availability and proper storage of all wheelchairs and stretchers. S/he will process films for the Radiologic Technologists as needed.

The Value You’ll Bring To The Team

• Transports patients for Imaging Services modalities and other hospital departments as needed using proper safety for self & patients.
• Cleans & disinfects wheelchairs & stretchers after every use and stores them in the appropriate area.
• Utilizing approaches and equipment appropriate to patient’s age and level of cognition.
• Communicates with parent/guardian/significant other regarding transportation issues and/or concerns based of level of comprehension, understanding and readiness to learn.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• High School Diploma.
• Valid AHA BLS.
