Position Summary

The Full-Time Patient Recruitment Specialist is responsible for direct outreach to patient prospects to offer acute and chronic disease services as a part of a covered health plan benefit. The Recruitment Specialist will utilize multiple software systems to schedule clinic visits, track call status, and report all outreach activity.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Contact eligible prospects via phone, electronic mail, and USPS mail to offer Vigilant Health acute and chronic disease care services.
  • Receive incoming calls from perspective members/patients to answer questions and schedule members seeking care.
  • Utilize other methods of contact such as text messaging and electronic mail to follow-up and reinforce program benefits with the goal of scheduling initial clinic appointments.
  • Confirm/Verify Patient Prospect demographics and insurance eligibility when scheduling to ensure Vigilant Health has the most up to date and accurate mailing address, phone numbers, and email addresses.
  • Address barriers to enrollment by reinforcing program benefits and customizing solutions for each prospect’s medical and environmental needs.
  • Meet goals for company metrics with regard to communication volume by client and location by making approximately 10 to 20 calls per hour while on outbound call duties.
  • Collaborate with other recruitment team members to meet goals, improve prospect’s understanding and education of what services Vigilant Health offers, and work through scheduling barriers.
  • Follow Vigilant Health’s policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal requirements including regulatory and accrediting organizations such as but not limited to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, and Medicaid, State and Federal governments as it pertains to the medical clinic.
  • Other recruitment/administrative duties as assigned.

Minimum Position Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, plus 1 year experience in either a call center environment, medical scheduling/outreach, or commissioned sales.
  • Ability to set priorities, goals, and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to follow directives explicitly, take constructive criticism, learn quicky, and have a team approach.
  • Exceptional phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening.
  • Customer focus and adaptability to different customer situations.
  • Computer literacy required.
