Position Summary
This position is responsible for supporting sales team in terms of technical aspect of Power Transmission business development and performance of all sales activities for the Industrial market in North market. He shall promote the company’s products & shall be a representative of the company in the assigned region.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned beyond the core functions listed below.
- Accountable for managing application engineering tasks focused on meeting quote service levels and sample submission service levels.
- Working on translating Customers Enquiries, Drawings, Specifications to Gates Parts and build BOMs.
- To coordinate with Manufacturing and build sample as per customer requirements.
- Spearhead OEM / Distributor / aftermarket customers and other prospective customer calls on product or application engineering and specifications support i.e. right product selection for hydraulic and industrial applications
- Conduct fitment trial on customer’s machine and circulate report. Identify VA/VE opportunities and cost reduction ideas to provide optimized solutions with existing / New products.
- To support overall commercial objectives by developing strong engineering relationships with engineers within assigned key customers.
- Conduct technical seminar at customer
- To provide inputs to technical / product development in developing new products / assemblies to meet specific customer performance requirements.
- New product development time plan finalization and co-ordination for execution with customer and Internal team till PPAP
REPORTING: The incumbent reports to NSM Sales and support him in all day to day operations to achieve the business objectives of the company.
Qualifications
- B tech – Mechanical engineering with Min. 5 year expectance and experience in similar industry
- Minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Strong experience as application engineering expert in manufacturing.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Fair amount (approx. 40 ~ 50%) of domestic travel is required.
