About the role:

As a Risk Analysis Intern, you will work with the Risk Analysis team at Westinghouse global headquarters, located in Cranberry, PA. This is a 40 hour per week intern position.

No sponsorship is available for this role.

You will report to the Senior Manager – Risk Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support Probabilistic Risk Assessments (PRA) for nuclear power plant systems, evaluating plants potential vulnerability to all risk and hazard types (i.e., seismic, fire, flooding) for domestic and international plants
• Perform database population and data analysis for multiple programs
• Perform code validation testing activities
• Apply fundamental engineering principles
• Establish and implement personal goals and action plans
• Work with global team through email, phone, Microsoft Teams.
• Database management and data analysis skills
• Interest in software programming and code development, while not required, is considered a benefit

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical)
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Complete Junior year of college by May, 2025
