Student Wellbeing Outreach Advisor

Our Student Wellbeing Service is committed to ensuring that students receive the necessary support to navigate their university experience and achieve their full potential.

The role

We are recruiting for a Student Wellbeing Advisor within the Outreach Team which forms part of the Wellbeing Service in the Student Support Directorate.

You will be part of a team of advisors who support the wellbeing of students across a 24/7 timeframe. The position will involve being part of our Open-Door service, where you will conduct wellbeing chats, and therefore direct and virtual contact with students is a day-to-day task. Creating plans to promote and maintain a students wellbeing will be a key part of this role.

The hours of work will be from 6pm to 6am on a 3 on 3 off rolling shift pattern. The role will be primarily based at our main Student Hub on our Highfield Campus.

About You

You will be a hardworking, compassionate individual who puts the student at the centre of everything we do. You will have experience in ensuring that you work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that appropriate support is sought for our students. You will proactive and responsive to our student needs and be creative when form plans to maintain and maximise a student’s wellbeing. To do so, you will be adept at communicating to a diverse range of individuals from varying backgrounds and have specialist knowledge and understanding of race, multiculturalism, and diversity.
