Role: QA Test Engineer

Location: Remote, with occasional travel to UK offices

Salary: £30,000 – £42,000 per annum, plus extensive benefits

Contract type: Permanent

Employment type: Full time

Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday (9:00–17:30)

As Quality Assurance Test Engineer, you will plan and execute manual and automated test plans/suites across all P2U internal systems, covering functional, integration, performance, volume and regression testing.

What you’ll be doing?

  • Creating, maintenance and evaluation of software automation test scripts (including incorporation of dynamic test data)
  • Gathering and validating application functional/integration/performance/load requirements
  • Creating and maintenance of test plans and test cases
  • Executing manual and automated software testing in areas involving installation, functional, performance, volume, integration, and regression testing
  • Management of defects within a corporate defect tracking system
  • Creation and maintenance of test documentation and reports
  • Co-ordinating and prioritisating test development activities and the ability to work with multiple development teams and software projects are also critical for the selected candidate

Who are we looking for?

  • Knowledge of quality assurance best practices and testing methodologies
  • Experience with test plan creation, test case development and execution using Gherkin Syntax or equivalent
  • Experience with developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Groovy or equivalent
  • Experience with automated testing applications (Katalon Studio/Test Ops, Postman or equivalent)
  • Experience with commercial defect management systems (Katalon/Jira Software or equivalent)
  • Familiar within an Agile Development Environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Basic understanding of program interfaces, services, databases, messaging, files systems, and other program objects.
