Job Description

  • International Sourcing and Supplier Management
  • Negotiate contracts, prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with international suppliers.
  • Assess and monitor the performance of foreign suppliers, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with foreign suppliers
  • Identify and evaluate potential international suppliers and vendors.
  • Import Compliance and Regulations
  • Ensure compliance with all import regulations, including customs duties, tariffs, and trade agreements.
  • Coordinate with forwarding and clearing agents for customs clearance and transit.
  • Prepare and manage the necessary documentation for importing goods
  • Stay updated on changes in international trade regulations and ensure the organization complies with all relevant laws.
  • Cost Management
  • Analyze market trends and conditions to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of procurement strategies in meeting financial goals.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality or delivery timelines.
  • Develop strategies for cost-effective import procurement, considering factors such as tariffs, shipping costs, and currency exchange rates.
  • Risk Management
  • Identify risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in the supply chain.
  • Monitor and manage the financial risks involved in international transactions, including currency exchange rates and payment methods.
  • Team Leadership and Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement professionals.
  • Set performance objectives and provide regular feedback and training.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders’ finance and operations teams to align import procurement strategies with overall business goals.
  • Communicate and coordinate with other departments regarding the status of imported goods and any potential delays
  • Provide regular updates on import procurement activities to senior management

Requirements

  • Any Graduation or Above
  • Minimum 2-4 Years Experience in Import Goods and International Logistics
  • Any ERP experience in the Purchase Module
  • Any Certification in Procurement/Imports&Exports/International Logistics (Preferable)
  • Computer Literate good in Excel and Data Analytics
  • Manufacturing Companies Experience is Preferable
