Job Description
We’re looking for a creative, strategic, and relationship-driven Communications Specialist to join our team! If you’re passionate about connecting people and services, crafting compelling stories and driving collaboration, this role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the voice of the Hastings Prince Edward Ontario Health Team (HPE OHT) and Quinte Health.
At Quinte Health, we are committed to Creating Healthier Communities. Together. And at HPE OHT, we believe in Caring for our communities together. Partnering for better health and wellness, within, and across our communities. As part of our team, you will help bring these visions to life by crafting messages that inspire, inform, and connect people across our healthcare system.
You’ll work closely with the HPE OHT Strategic Implementation Lead, project co-leads, and other key partners to develop and execute communication strategies that foster a culture of collaboration and transparency. Your work will help bring healthcare initiatives to life, making sure the right messages reach the right people in ways that resonate.
This role is all about connection—building strong relationships with teams, leaders, and partner organizations to create and share information in a way that’s clear, engaging, and impactful. You’ll be a core part of both the HPE OHT team and the Quinte Health Communications Department.
Status: Temporary Full-Time – 18 Month Contract
Location: Hybrid. Work from home, combined with attending in person meetings, and project meetings at various partner organizations across Hastings and Prince Edward Counties.
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week. Mostly weekday office hours, with some flexible hours required to support program needs and special events.
Why Join Us?
This isn’t just a job—it’s an opportunity to make a real impact in how healthcare is communicated and understood in our community. You’ll be part of a team that values creativity, collaboration, and connection, where your ideas and expertise will shape meaningful initiatives.
If this sounds like the role for you, we’d love to hear from you! Please apply by 4 PM on Friday, March 7, 2025. While we appreciate the interest of all applicants, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
