Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming phone calls efficiently and accurately within a dynamic call center setting.
- Utilize electronic systems to document and process customer requests seamlessly.
- Engage in active listening to patient inquiries, providing thoughtful and informative responses.
- Adhere to established protocols and workflows to process requests within a multifaceted healthcare framework.
- Summarize and route messages and complaints according to standard procedures.
- Deliver timely and precise health information services to patients.
- Evaluate customer service needs and refer them to appropriate departments or locations for follow-up as required.
- Recognize and escalate priority calls when necessary.
- Advocate for our organization’s mission and vision to staff, patients, and the wider community.
- Uphold confidentiality concerning patient, client, and employee information.
Required Skills
- Strong typing abilities and proficiency in the use of computer systems.
- Detail-oriented with the capability to interact empathetically with individuals to gather essential health information.
- Ability to maintain composure in stressful or emergency scenarios.
- Comfort in engaging with a diverse array of staff, patients, insurance entities, and different healthcare systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a call center environment is preferred.
- Prior experience in healthcare and familiarity with medical terminology are advantageous.
