Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze Medicaid enrollment, provider, and claims data, along with current business processes and systems, to identify requirements for new processes and systems.
- Identify and document data anomalies and collaborate with cross-functional teams for effective resolution.
- Work with internal teams and customers to develop and update business documentation.
- Facilitate meetings with user groups and document meeting minutes, action items, and decisions.
- Support the DDI Project Manager by maintaining the Microsoft Project Plan/Schedule for the DDI project.
- Develop professional presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Assist with data quality testing and follow up with business, ETL, and QA teams.
- Share use cases with data analysts for profiling, review results, and ensure compliance with Medicaid/CMS processes and guidelines.
- Manage multiple priorities effectively and ensure timely responses to inquiries from data analysts.
- Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate a willingness to assist where needed.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in healthcare business analysis, supporting business initiatives through data analysis, writing business requirements, and user acceptance testing.
- 5+ years of experience in developing and writing complex SQL queries.
- 4+ years of experience working with State Medicaid and CHIP agencies.
- 5+ years of experience understanding CMS reporting requirements for Medicaid.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Fee-for-Service (FFS) and Managed Care claim adjudication processes, including eligibility, enrollment, claims processing, and funding/finance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with PERM, T-MSIS, CMS Federal Reporting, or similar projects.
- Experience with Teradata and SQL Assistant.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Power BI, and Snowflake.
- Knowledge of Quality of Care programs.
- Understanding of data integration, software enhancements, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience using Azure DevOps, JIRA, and Visio.
- Experience working on Medicaid Enterprise System DDI projects.
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, SharePoint, and MS PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in an environment with minimal guidance.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Experience facilitating meetings and effectively communicating with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to complete assignments under tight deadlines with little to no direct supervision.
