Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Responsible for selling and cross-selling Credit Union services to current and potential members. Credit Union services are to be promoted using the “member benefit-based approach”.
  • Fully complies with the requirements of all Credit Union policies, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and OFAC Policies.
  • Prepares approval letter to member and prepares attorney closing instructions.
  • Schedules closings with attorneys, coordinating with members, insurance companies, real estate agents, pest control companies, flood determination companies, and survey companies.
  • Ensures loans close in a timely manner, meeting rate locks, contracts, and other deadlines.
  • Prepares closing documents in accordance with approval, legal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Approves title insurance commitments, surveys, wood infestation reports, and homeowners’ insurance policies for closing.
  • Coordinates funding of loans with servicing area, ensuring compliance with Loan Officer/Management Loan Committee conditions.
  • Audits final closed loan file for regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare and balance funding worksheets and request outgoing wires.
  • Disburse loans to mortgage servicing, assuring loan details and escrow are set up accurately.
  • Performs file maintenance on member accounts.
  • Processes mortgage payoffs/paid mortgage loan documents and ensures correct disposition of related lien releases.
  • Posts General Ledger funds, when received from an attorney, balances General Ledger deposits daily on these loans.
  • Assist post-closing with audit, compliance, and funding-related conditions.
  • Review, activate, and deactivate mortgage insurance.
  • Prepares closing documents for Conventional and other specialized loan programs.
  • Assist in processing/closing and scheduling with home equities and modification loans.
  • Close Georgia home equities at our local office.
  • Assures loans meet HMDA requirements and compliance.
  • May be assigned other tasks by appropriate line supervision.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook Email /Calendar, and Internet Explorer software. Experience with Encompass, Mortgage Servicer, and/or Episys Quest system preferred.
