We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to lead our purchasing and printing operations specifically within our children’s and specialty publishing sectors. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all purchasing and printing activities for our children’s and specialty publishing lines.
  • Manage production schedules and vendor partnerships while balancing creative demands with logistical needs.
  • Lead and mentor a skilled team of print buyers, promoting a culture centered on growth and excellence.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, quality, and expedite time to market.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and integrate innovative printing technologies and best practices.
  • Address supply chain challenges proactively to minimize disruptions in production timelines.
  • Collaborate across functions with editorial, design, sales, marketing, and fulfillment teams.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet critical deadlines.
  • Travel occasionally for printer site visits, press checks, and partner meetings.

Required Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of printing processes, manufacturing, and supply chain operations.

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in publishing, with a focus on production and manufacturing.

  • A strong track record in developing processes and workflows to support growth initiatives.

Compensation And Benefits

  • Salary range: \(80,000 – \)100,000, commensurate with experience.
