Job Description
The Role
The NAVIGATE Program is seeking high performing researchers, academics and STEM professionals who are leaders in their field, and are willing to utilise their transferrable research skills in high priority areas for Defence.
Over the duration of the 12-month program, you will undertake two six-month rotations in different areas within the Defence STEM ecosystem and potentially contribute to high priority areas for Defence. You will undertake tailored training and leadership development opportunities, mentoring to support your career development, and the opportunity to work with Australia’s brightest and most innovative scientists, engineers and IT specialist.
At the conclusion of the program, you will transition into a permanent ongoing role within Defence. We will work with you to identify how your skills and experience can be best-aligned ensuring maximum impact for Defence, and maximum job satisfaction for you.
About our Team
Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG) is focused on bringing together interdisciplinary expertise from across Australia and around the world to address Defence and security challenges. Our role is to work closely with the Australian science, technology and innovation eco-system to deliver scientific advice and solutions that provide capability enhancement for Defence and the security community.
