Job Description
Purpose
Supports the analysis of customer data to provide insights that help drive customer engagement, retention, and loyalty strategies across the Country Road Group Customer & Digital team. This role works closely with teams across Marketing, Loyalty, and Customer Engagement to gather and interpret data, helping to inform day-to-day decision-making and longer-term strategy.
Ensure that customer data is accurately captured, organised, and analysed to inform key business strategies. The role involves extensive use of SQL for querying data, alongside tools like Google Analytics, Tableau, and Google Data Studio to create reports and visualisations.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform detailed customer data analysis using SQL to extract actionable insights from large datasets
- Support the creation of dashboards and reports in Tableau and Google Data Studio, ensuring data accuracy and relevance for key stakeholders
- Collaborate with the Senior Customer Analyst and IT Data Team to ensure data is correctly processed and available for analysis at different stages of the data lifecycle.
- Assist with the design and maintenance of reports and dashboards using tools like Tableau and Google Data Studio to visualise key metrics, campaign performance, and customer behaviour trends.
- Assist in customer segmentation analysis and reporting on key customer metrics such as lifetime value (CLV) and churn.
- Partner with the IT Data Team to ensure that data pipelines are running efficiently and data is accurate for reporting purposes.
Key Capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Marketing, Statistics, Business, or a related field
- Experience in data analysis, customer analytics, or a related role, preferably within marketing or customer engagement environments.
- Familiarity with reporting tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, and Google Data Studio.
- Experience with basic customer data analysis, including segmentation, campaign analysis, and customer behaviour reporting.
- Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and ensuring compliance in data collection and reporting.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying data, with the ability to write complex queries to extract insights from large datasets.
- Basic knowledge of Google Analytics, experience using Google Data Studio and Tableau
