Nationwide program dedicated to maintaining IT infrastructure operations across TSA. Contract supports all US airports and 30+ US Embassy/Consulates international sites across 30 different countries where TSA is present
About The Role
Peraton is seeking a Database Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This individual is responsible for supporting the Core Services team for operations and engineering. The Core Services engineer will be responsible for supporting the operations and maintenance of our operating systems.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Participate in incident management activities for the servers
- Configuring and maintain successful backups for the servers
- Participate in defining the server requirements, acquisition, installation, and configuration
- Knowledge of Microsoft administration tools
- Participate in the documentation of activities, system changes, procedures, policies, and standards
- Setting up and maintaining server accounts
- Manage installation and integration of system fixes, updates, and provide configuration and enhancements
- Involved in implementation of security measures on the servers
- Provide technical expertise, respond to taskings, etc.
- Work closely with IT operation delivery teams, project managers, solution engineers and government counterparts to ensure approved scheduled maintenance is completed
- Interact with the customer on an as needed basis
- Communicate status of ongoing work and any issues that arise to management in a timely manner

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor degree and 0 years’ experience or Associate degree and 2 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 4 years’ experience
- U.S. Citizenship required; Must have the ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance
- Experience in IT infrastructure
- Experience with Microsoft administration tools
- Understanding of change, release, and configuration management, and their interaction
- Knowledge of Client business environment and requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and use of judgment
- Ability to work effectively in a distributed work environment/self-starter
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of ServiceNow
- Knowledge of security fundamentals
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals
- Knowledge of cloud operations
- Possess an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations 4 certification or the ability to obtain within one month

Details
Target Salary Range: $51,000 – $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
