Job Summary

The Vice President of Professional Learning should feel comfortable building and sustaining relationships with the State Departments of Education personnel who use 806 software and services. The VP of PL should provide exceptional support to the professional learning team in 806 Technologies software and professional learning offerings. The Vice President of Professional Learning should prioritize and manage multiple tasks while maintaining the outstanding level of service our clients expect from 806 Technologies.

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintain current knowledge of how federal updates impact state level processes
  • Work with Chief Learning Officer to create training roll out plans.
  • Contributes in the preparation of all RFPs (state and district level)
  • Meets with state department contacts as outlined in the RFP/contracts.
  • Creates training rollout plans for state department and occasionally large districts
  • Supervise PL employees (full time and contracted)
  • Plan and provide training for contractors and new PL employees
  • Develop and coordinate support sessions for Title1Crate (T1C) customers
  • Oversee updates to state monitoring tools in T1C
  • Create communications with T1C users when state outlines are updated
  • Develop recommendations for state level software enhancements
  • Support customers through phone calls, emails, and Zoom meetings
  • Serve on the 806 Technologies Product Planning Review Team
  • Review customer suggestions before sharing with the Product Planning Review team
  • Partner with sales team on product demos when needed

  • Interact in a tactful, diplomatic, and professional manner with customer/clients, supervisors, and co-workers to provide a safe, efficient, and positive experience which ensures customer/client retention and quality service.
  • Maintain a dependable attendance record and adhere to standards of cleanliness.
  • Any additional duties assigned by management

Qualifications, Education, And Experience

  • Required: Minimum 2 years state department level experience in grants management
  • Required: Minimum 2 years state department level experience monitoring ESSA compliance
  • Master’s Degree in Education Administration, or related discipline.
  • Proficiency in Google Office Suite required.
  • Proficiency in virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams, Google Meets, Slack) preferred.
  • Minimum 2-3 years in school district administration role(s) preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communication formats.
  • Must be proactive, possess a high degree of initiative, and eagerness to learn/adapt.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with a high commitment to quality.

Working Conditions

Residing in the DFW area – Hybrid setting Monday/Thursday onsite Plano, TX office Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday remote. The noise level in the work environment(s) is relatively quiet. Residing outside of the DFW – Monday-Friday, remote setting. Travel as needed.

Cognitive and Physical Demands

  • Daily/majority of the non-training/traveling day: sitting, computer work, screen time, keyboarding, typing, wrist flexing/extension and other repetitive movements.
  • As needed: Training/conference activities require long periods of standing and may involve setup/tear down activities. Traveling requires safe operation of vehicle, standing, and sitting which varies based on mode of travel.
  • Daily/consistent: Use of professional judgement in alignment with 806 Technologies values and policies, ability to communicate effectively verbally and written, translate high level instructions into an executable process flow, and to complete medium to large projects with minimal assistance and supervision
  • Frequently: Learning new software applications and recalling important processes
  • Occasionally: kneeling, standing, reaching, twisting, grasping, and lifting (up to 20 pounds).

  • Compensation is a competitive base salary.
