Job Description
As a key member of our Talent Acquisition team, you’ll partner with hiring managers across the country to attract and engage top talent. You’ll gain hands-on experience in sourcing, screening, interviewing, and pipeline development, while working alongside experienced recruiters to grow your career in Talent Acquisition.
What You’ll Do:
- Support Full-Cycle Recruiting – Assist in the hiring process for both exempt and non-exempt roles across Shorr’s 10 U.S. divisions, from job postings and candidate sourcing to interview coordination and offer management.
- Partner with Hiring Managers – Work closely with managers to understand hiring needs, craft compelling job descriptions, and help refine the hiring process.
- Develop Talent Pipelines – Build and maintain a network of potential candidates through strategic sourcing, networking, referrals, university relations, job fairs, and industry events.
- Enhance Employer Branding – Promote Shorr’s employer brand through social media, outreach campaigns, and recruitment marketing efforts to attract top talent.
- Deliver a Great Candidate Experience – Ensure a seamless and engaging recruitment process by keeping candidates informed and providing a positive interview experience.
- Leverage Digital Recruiting Tools – Utilize platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, ZoomInfo, and Jobvite to identify and engage with qualified candidates.
- Participate in Hiring Events – Represent Shorr at career fairs, university relations programs, and community hiring events to build strong talent connections.
- Work in a Hybrid Environment – Collaborate with the team from our Aurora, IL office as needed while enjoying a flexible work model.

The targeted compensation for this position is between $60 – 75K base plus targeted bonus, depending on skills and experience of the selected candidate.
What You Bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in recruiting or HR related role (internships or part-time roles count!).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with candidates and hiring teams.
- A passion for learning, growing, and making an impact in the field of talent acquisition.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, Indeed, or other recruiting platforms is a plus but not required—we’ll train you!
