We’re looking for someone who is a good writer and storyteller, someone who understands digital marketing, social media, video production, graphic design, and someone to develop engaging content that builds the LPGA ecosystem of brands by elevating the stories of our international athletes for appropriate audiences. The focus for this role is the growth of the LPGA Korea, Thai, Chinese, and Japanese digital and social channels and their integration into the larger LPGA content matrix.
This role works closely with the Director, Digital Content to elevate the International LPGA digital channels, delivering value for our athletes, tournaments, and sponsors. The International Content Manager will work within the organization to produce original content for digital platforms to support storytelling leveraging all areas of the LPGA brand ecosystem, with a specific focus on Korean, Thai, Chinese, and Japanese channels. This person will be responsible for conceptualizing, creating, and distributing impact content that drives engagement and conversations around our international athletes and partners.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Serve as primary content advocate for the International Content Digital Channels at the LPGA Tour.
- Create, edit, distribute, optimize, and promote LPGA content focused on our international Tour athletes and tournaments with the goal of growing audience and share.
- Manage editorial calendar for the International Content Digital Channels, delivering compelling content using current production and social-delivery tools.
- Supervise content curation overseeing network of contributors, negotiating deals, pitching story ideas, and scheduling distribution across digital channels.
- Experiment with new content formats to facilitate publishing on multiple digital, mobile, and social platforms.
- Fulfill partner commitments such as video series, elevated storytelling opportunities, large video shoots, and interviews.
- Work directly with the larger LPGA Content team to marry content ideas from English-based channels to international channels.
- Work with the LPGA Asia office on goal-setting and tracking for international partners.
- Partner with LPGA’s Brand and Communications teams to maintain consistency of brand voice and reach integration goals by amplifying content across channels.
- Drive community engagement by leading social listening efforts to ensure a rapid response to emerging trends/opportunities.
- Track content performance and monitor consumer feedback and generate insight reports to inform or adjust programming decisions.
- 10-14 weeks of travel a year
- Support other key initiatives for the LPGA as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Sports Media, or related field preferred.
- 4-6 years of experience working in sports; golf background desirable.
- Fluent in Korean is required, and conversational in either Mandarin, Thai, or Japanese is a plus.
- Experience in videography, video editing, and graphic design.
- High energy, self-motivated professional who loves contributing to a team.
- Audience growth-minded fueled by trend-led concepts and high-quality results.
- Prior experience maintaining a brand, team, or other professional social media account.
- Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms.
- Well-versed in social media metrics and analytics.
- Demonstrated initiative, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
- Must possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally as needed for business purposes
