The Role

The Commercial & Channel Manager Oribe Italy, reporting into the General Manager Kao Salon Italy, researches and develops marketing opportunities, planning and implementing new sales plans for Oribe in the Italian market. The Commercial & Channel Manager Oribe Italy will manage the Oribe Italian team regarding marketing, sales & education and will perform managerial duties to meet the companies’ strategical goals. In this role, the Commercial & Channel Manager is responsible for the financial outcome (net sales) and management (education, marketing, sales) of the Oribe brand in Italy and is the key Oribe contact for Global, Regional and local teams. Within your responsibilities there is also the direct management of the top Retail and E-Comm accounts in Italy for Oribe. This is a hybrid working role, with HQ based in Rome.

What You Will Do

Strategy & Planning

  • Responsible for Oribe strategic direction initiatives and planning, coordination, and management of the Oribe integrated marketing, public relations and communication strategy in Italy.
  • You will lead sales execution plan and ensuring that the sales team meets their quotas and goals. Supporting sales team on new client acquisition in line with global guidelines.
  • Researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans, understanding customer requirements, identifying market trends.
  • Researching and developing educational plans, understanding customer requirements, identifying market trends, in close collaboration with EMEA education team and local educators.
  • Introducing new Oribe products to the market.

Sales & Marketing Execution

  • Management of top Retail and E-comm accounts with focus on qualitative growth.
  • Preparing the annual budget to meet marketing and sales financial goals.
  • Developing sales action plans and advertising to accomplish marketing and sales goals.
  • Execution of education plans.
  • Coordinate forecasting and supply chain alignment with Demand Planning and Customer Logistics.
  • Focus on continuous improvement, collaboration, and opportunities for Oribe within the Kao organization.

Team & Stakeholder Management

  • Managing, training, and coaching of the italian Oribe team.
  • Stakeholder management both internal and external to build, maintain and protect the Oribe brand.
  • Main contact for global, regional, and local teams for Oribe.
  • Collaborate with managers and key employees in other marketing and sales departments to achieve our goals.

Brand ambassadorship

  • To act as an ambassador of the organisation and maximise any opportunities to promote the name, image and reputation of our business at e.g. industry functions, networking events, meetings with new and existing clients.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
  • 5+ years experience in sales / marketing with a track record of successes in Beauty/Health/Fashion/FMCG (ideally luxury and salon industry).
  • Experience with managing a marketing and sales team
  • Experience managing key accounts and communicating business plans effectively to high profile customers (both written and verbally).
  • Affinity and sense for high-end luxury branding and communication.
  • Experience in coaching, training/developing to drive sales performance through team members.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong cross-functional player.
  • Experience in developing long term and short-term sales strategies.
