Job Description
Job Profile:
As the GL Accountant working with other stakeholders, you will provide management oversight to ensure accuracy and integrity of all accounting transactions inputted into the company’s ERP for appropriate business accounting.
The functions are as summarized below:
- Preparing and entering all Journal entries into the into the company’s ERP.
- Reconciling all general ledger accounts, comparing such to other records to ensure accuracy
- Maintaining financial records ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up to date
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Work with the Financial Accountant to have a record of fixed asset and all relevant schedules in the company’s ERP and also in preparation for the audit
- Document and maintain all support documents for easy retrieval during any audit process
- Ensure that the company is following all financial regulations and compliant with all laws and regulations as it affects the company
- Work with internal and external auditors for different compliance and regulatory exercise
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Professional certification is required
